BREAKING NEWS – URGENT PEOPLE POWER PROTEST ACTION REQUIRED 08.05.13
This week the EPA has again ignored the science and has given conditional approval for a proposed canal housing/inland marina development in the middle of the Rockingham Lakes Regional Park and Bush forever site at Point Peron.
In response please join us for a peaceful protest outside the offices of the developer:
- Cedar Woods
- 50 Colin St, West Perth
- 10am on Wednesday 8th May 2013.
Directions: Get Red Cat bus from outside Perth Underground and get off at stop 16 Emerald Tce West Perth. At around 11am we will then set off and march to the steps of WA Parliament house where we will present our 8000 original signature strong petition to Lynn McLaren MLC at around 11:30am. Bring your own placard or grab one of ours.
It is clear that the EPA and the State Government are not prepared to protect the interests of ordinary people against the greedy developers and the complicit politicians who are pushing for this destructive development. It is now up to the community to stand together to stop this outrageous public land grab. Point Peron is too precious to lose.
