Here we go again….
The below image is of a full page advertorial by Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of commerce that was published in the Sound Telegraph local paper on 02.10.19.
This advert was placed on page 15 directly opposite a news item on page 14 listing candidates running in 2019 Rockingham Council elections.
The advert refers to ‘public private partnerships’ at Point (Cape) Peron.
Below is an excerpt from the above full page advertorial
What is a ‘public private partnership’ we hear you ask??
The Mangles Bay Canal Marina private housing development proposal was a ‘public private partnership’.
This land is still not safe. Powerful vested interests are still after it and will continue to do so until it has some protection in law.
If it had the political will, the WA Government could exercise its executive powers now and gazette Point Peron as an ‘A’ Class reserve.
With ‘A’ Class protection it can’t be sold off and privatized unless it gets passed by both houses of WA Parliament.
We urge all Point Peron lovers to always vote in local council elections and to vote wisely
